It was certainly nice being free of the small confines of the prison cell. She’d almost forgotten how good it was to stretch out and relax without someone coming along to pin her back down. As a result though she now had to deal with a new problem. That of making up her mind and trying to figure out quite what to do next. West city was a big old place she’d seen that when she had first arrived and seen it from above. Actually that would be a good idea, nothing but the gentle sounds of the wind and her own thoughts to help her figure things out. She gently lifted off, the majin girl happily spinning through the air as she rose up and above the city. Smirking at nothing as she reached the same layer as the clouds and pretended to sit atop them. Okay, now it was much quieter and a little easier to think like this. She just had to wait now and the voices would come to her. Though it was more likely that she was coming to them instead. Finding herself within her head and with the rest of the collective once more.
“Well?”
You just sat in prison!
You wasted so much time
You let them restrain you!
You just accepted it
You didn’t remove them from our world.
You are failing at your goal!
Most of them seemed to be angry with her. It was strange to see them like this but then again she had been far too idle on what she had accepted as being her mission and she owed it to them to get started once again. It was simple, she needed to get back in among the people and start assessing them, figuring out which among them deserved to join the collective and which of them should be put down, and as an added extra, which of them needed to serve the greater collective. She couldn’t do everything after all and there would have to be some of the ones that she didn’t like on her world still around. Servants, helpers people to bake them treats. Yeah, that seemed like a good idea too, it certainly met with some approval among the collective. Most importantly she’d decided what she was going to do with today.
She drifted down out of the air, enjoying the rushing feeling around her prison clothing. She should really just remove that before it became annoying to her or she needed to alter her shape any. That was the best thing about what she seemed to be, her clothing was also made out of part of her so it stretched and moved about as she did so. So she lightly flexed and burst the rather silly orange clothing that she had been given and adjusted her own appearance to be more akin to someone wearing a jogging suit. She needed to exercise after all and it seemed to be that this was a good attire to not be noticed while on the move. She was in agreement that she needed to get moving once again on her grand goal. But in order to even begin to achieve that she’d have to figure out what kind of shape she was in after being sat in prison for so long.
She did the obvious thing for her, she started to run. Legs moving like pistons as she built up speed. Racing past shocked looking bystanders and kicking up debris and dust from the sudden burst of speed from the young Majin as she pushed past them along the streets. It wasn’t long before her feet had taken her outside of the city once more and she slowly turned to look at the distance that she’d made before glancing up to see where the sun was compared to where it had been. All in all she reasoned that she had gone pretty dang fast but it didn’t feel like it was fast enough really. The others might tell her that this speed test was a waste of time, but she really enjoyed having the knowledge of just how fast she could move and just where her limit was. Without it, you’d try and push too hard during a problem when the bad unworthy came to stop her from saving the good and pure. She couldn’t afford to make such mistakes. She might get hurt badly, or perhaps even worse, she might even lose her friends.
She did her best to shake off the horrible thought and bounced on the balls of her feet, feeling out her energy a little and deciding that she should have another go at it really push herself to full speed this time, she braced herself with some care, the little pink body wiggling about before setting off like a tiny rocket, cracking the ground beneath the foot she launched herself from as the city rushed back at her in a blur, she stuck to the roads, dodging between the cars and leaving a trail of confused drivers in her wake, she was rather happy that she hadn’t flipped any of the cars. She didn’t really need to exactly attract the attention of the police all over again.
As she skidded to a stop out of the other side of the city this time she started to bounce happily on the balls of her feet and nodded to herself. Yup, she hadn’t lost any of her speed that was for sure. So she was probably just as strong as she had been before being locked up. It was awesome to know for sure that she could be idle and retain what she had before. Now though she was going to have to decide just how she was going to select her next candidate for joining the collective. Also where to dispose of them should they prove to be dangerous to anyone she wanted to add to the collective. Maybe she shouldn’t start in the middle of the city though, if everyone saw what she was doing they’d all start queuing up and she’d have to try and assess them all too quickly for it to be fair.
She started to walk a little way away from the city almost absent-mindedly. There’s be bound to be villages that she could find like the one she had started in. That’d be a great idea, she could live with them and get to know them all and then figure out who among them was worthy or not. it’d be great, and then she could continue onwards just like old times. It was about while she was involved in this happy little train of thought that the bullet shot through her leg. This was mostly a secondary thought outside of the primary one that here was a small group of people. Perfect, just what she wanted to find. Oh darn, they were all armed and pointing their weapons at her. Was this more of the police folk? Most of her friends got upset if she tangled with the police.
"Hewwo thewe. Can we hewp you at aww? You kind of missed a shot, it hit us instead of whatevew you wewe shooting at"
The response she got was less than thrilling. Several of the man started shouting angrily at her to hand over any money she happened to have or they’d put more bullets into her. They seemed to think that their silly little bullets would actually do anything to someone like her. You’d have thought that her reaction to the first one hitting would have clued them in that this was going to be a bit of a pointless endeavour but not everyone seemed to actually get simple concepts. Still this would be a good thing right? These were bad mean men that were attacking people and demanding their money from them. It’d only be a good thing if she taught the buggers a lesson in how to behave.
Mind made up, Delphina started to step forwards before launching herself to the side, nimbly dodging the first barrage of fire that the men unleashed, she did have reason to pause and wonder just why they were so confident before. As soon as she started moving quickly their confidence had apparently turned into a panic. With the men firing wildly or in some cases abandoning their weapons and turning to flee. She had half hoped that there would be one or two that were stronger than normal humans and actually put up a fight so that she could learn a new trick or two. As it was it was a bloody massacre, with Delphina using her favourite little hammer weapon to splatter the poor fools across the floor and shouted rather angrily at the red smears.
“Wet that be a wesson to you to nyot to just attack peopwe and demand theiw monyey. When you puww youwsewves togethew watew on we’ww expect an apowogy!”
Well, that was a good start. Trying to help teach the silly humans a good lesson. Whatever to do next was the real question now. She continued her little walk, hoping to find a much nicer group of people to encounter and actually evaluate as potentials for joining her instead of those she’d have to punish for their rudeness. She didn’t have much hope for that to happen really, more and more people it seemed were just not up to the standards of the little Majin, you never knew your luck though.
