Technique Effects List
Primary Categories:
Support [SP] - Support Techniques. These aren't offensive in nature and include techniques such as Ki Sense, a Barrier, Ki Mastery, etc. Usually these techniques don't have any cost(s).
Energy [KI] - Ki Techniques. Beams, spheres, lasers, rays, and more! These are ranged attacks by nature and cost Ki per use.
Stamina [ST] - CQC Techniques. While exceptions can apply, these techniques are enforced by the magic of having tangible limbs. Fascinating. These cost Stamina per use, and are typically melee-focused.
Additional Effects:
Slashing - May dismember limbs if enough power is put behind it. Can inflict "Bleeding"* on the target.
Piercing - May create puncture holes, and in theory: also dismember limbs. Can ignore barrier techniques by 50% of their power level. If a Piercing technique is capable of destroying a barrier, it will still shatter. Will inflict "Bleeding"* on contact with players.
Homing [H] - Follows one target, can also redirect itself once per tier.
Redirecting [RD] - Follows one target, but can change targets each time it is redirected. The target change limit is increased by 1 per tier.
Repeating [RP] - Split the technique's power by how many projectiles or attacks are made.
(Ex: Three T3 techniques fired off at 33% PL each)
Explosive [EX] - Techniques with an area of effect. Affects everyone within two combat ranges; the farther allowing -20% cost to dodge, the closer zone offering a normal cost to dodge.
Burning [BU] - A Damage Over Time effect (DoT) that inflicts 1% HP damage over the course of 5 turns. This applies every time the victim is hit.
