The small little fox sat in the middle of the mountain trees with a small smile on his face, able to tolerate the cold with his fuzzy coat that he had gotten from somebody far, far away as he would sip a cup of hot cocoa as he was near his campfire, slowly gazing towards the flickering lights as his mouth opened and closed awkwardly, trying to hum a song as he had ended up rather high.
"Gotta tough it out..." He spoke to himself as his body tensed up a little as he was told to grow as a person, to grow his entire being and end up becoming something that would inspire the people of the future. A magician of fate was said to get their powers from the great mountain tops afterall!
Yet as he sat there, with his equipment sprawled around, he would shuffle his little body towards a small locket that he had been carrying, a small but brilliant light capturing the area as the snow that covered a nearby rock was starting to fall apart, a small hole forming for the locket as he would raise an eyebrow...
Cold weather was a wonderful opportunity, heck everything was an opportunity if you looked at it the right way. Specifically, a lovely test run of her unique set of thermal gear. She figured that having an insulation layer surrounding a thermal charge around her hidden within a big fluffy coat with matching padded legs. Now normally the fluffy coat should have been enough, but she wanted to be super comfy and warm despite the weather.
So there she was, strolling along the way without a care in the world. A little miniature version of her warming coat was around each of her small fleet of drones. She wasn’t really out to do anything important today, just to make sure that she didn’t really feel the cold, lining the hood was a worthwhile choice as it left a little haze of warmth in front of her face. She was giggling to herself and just skipping along when she spotted something unusual to her in the treeline.
It was a little cold fox, and was nearby to a bright light. Ruby quirked her head curiously and then started to ever so gently walk towards the creature. She also bade the drones to stay further back due to the noise they made floating about and crouched a little trying to appear non threatening to the little creature.
“H..hey there little guy, it’s okay. Don’t be scared.”
As Silver in his animal form looked towards the humanoid who had approuched, he would have his equipment laying around himself, his backpack protective kept beneath himself in a small mound as he would slowly open and close his mouth before then yipping at the person. Protectively at first to make certain that this person wouldn't rip him to shreds.
After a few moments he would start to make his way forwards, strolling a bit contently as he wanted to figure out who this person was exactly before speaking up, his maw moving a bit awkwardly as it tried to form the words correctly.
"Welcome to the frozone outpost..." He would explain before then asking "May i know your name?" As his head would tilt with a rather generous tail moving across the ground as he was not prepared for combat in the least. Yet at the same time he didn't think that this person would even seek combat at this point, his eyes slowly scanning the nearby area before then nudging towards the fire. For an explanation towards why he would introduce another person to his fire, he would simply mention the notion of a blizzard that should be coming.
Although the shining rock still stood out, with the locket hanging from the neck of the creature having an obvious corrolation to the rock, something could be up.
Ruby’s gaze took things in slowly, light reflecting off her shades as her head turned slowly. Noticing that this seeming animal had belongings. Or had taken them from another person in some way or another, got to think of the nicest option however and it was capable of talking. So that leaned things heavily towards the stuff here being it’s own. But at the same time, what use did a fox have for a backpack let alone the other stuff? Ruby stopped dead in her movements though, since she didn’t want to scare the little thing. Even if it was yipping at her almost aggressively, she didn’t feel all that intimidated by it however considering the grouping of drones that she’d brought with her.
“Uh… I wasn’t expecting you to talk. Didn’t think baby Earthlings could talk, or little animals for that matter. Is this normal? Or am I being pranked or something?”
She lightly rubbed her own cheek and gestured for her aide to come over and record what was going on, she wanted to be able to look over this encounter later on. Just in case, you never knew when something worth researching would occur. However, she’d apparently come to some kind of outpost. Not that she had been paying any real attention of course until now where she was. She’d mostly been having fun watching the faint heat haze in front of her face. She couldn’t help but grin a little at the concept that there was a blizzard coming and lightly tapped her jacket.
“I should be good, blizzard or no. I’m basically walking around in a lovely little bubble of heat.”
Her gaze kept sliding back towards the glowing rock and the locket. Maybe this wasn’t an outpost as she thought about it, but had some kind of different meaning for this little fox. She tried her best to look around at the little area and the fire that the fox had managed and it either meant that the little Earthlings weren’t useless. Or maybe this little guy was a type of Earthling that was just much more competant.
“So, what’s with the little powers source on your neck little guy?”
Looking at the Locket that was hanging from his neck, the little feller would take a soft breath before then nodding a few times at the questions, happy that she wouldn't be freezing to death in this weather as his tail moved across the ground in a mixture of tension and happiness. Still not trusting the situation completely before then shifting his attention towards the locket around his own neck.
"You see, there was this weird man who had a beautifull bundle of hair on his torso, like it was rainbow coloured but he was bald as it flew behind him in a brilliant mane..." As he thought about what he has said, he had the image appear in his own head again before laughing for a tiny bit, his vocal cords adjusting nicely.
"Alrighty! That makes more sense! He is like a rainbow lion that walks on two legs but is bald on his head with a very firm chin." Before the fox would then point at the rock that was glowing. "If i manage to stay here and apparently use this little..." trying to get the locket off, the fox was incapable of doing so.
As the solution was rather obvious, the locket may have been needed to slot into the glowing somewhere, except that he couldn't take it off at all! What a predicement, what a predicement... His eyes slowly tearing up a little as he was rather annoyed!
Ruby tried to listen to the explanation, she really did. It was just that the little fox wasn’t making a whole lot of sense for the Tuffle. Rather thankful that her now glazed over expression was hidden behind her large sunglasses. The end result of what he seemed to be implying was that he needed help when it came to getting the little locket into the little slot. She sighed and gently waved her hand behind her, the small set of floating drones drifting closer and joining her in watching this strange fox, the little orbs almost seemed reproachful at having been made to wait before she finally spoke.
“Uh, do you want some help with that at all? I mean I’m vaguely curious as to just what this strange glowing rock actually does. You seem to be having a little issue due to having a lack of hands little guy.”
She was trying not to laugh at the situation really, though she did crouch down, the snow gently starting to melt from her warm suits heat leaking out slightly as she smirked rather proud of her design and settling in with quite the comfortable stance while she observed the little fox. He seemed to be quite entertaining for a little watch.
The little guy frowned as he nodded a few times as he would try to get his head closer to the person their hands, in the hopes they would take the locket off as he would then yip a few times in response. Hoping that they would catch the drift to just perform that was needed and get this annoying little object removed from his neck.
While normally he could transform, silver was worried what would happen to the locket if he transformed at random! Of course it would become a massive mess and probably hurt him in places! With the fear starting to settle in his own head, The creature started to tremble lightly nearby the tuffle, trying to hold his own ground as he would take soft breaths. It was not easy, difficult even to not panic and start running around as a crazed beast that was afraid of a simple wire that was hanging from his neck as he would have his eyes travel up to the person every so often, hoping that they would give atleast some form of assistance.
"Come on friend, can you help? Please?" He would ask, getting a little impatient and if he were to be helped he would happily run around the person yipping towards the sky in content.
