As Silver saw the burning mountain, he couldn't help but remember the old stories as he sat a decent distance away from it, his face looking like a mess as he always came here to make a small grave, put up a stone and inscribe a soft remark on it every time. There wasn't much he could do except come back every two to three days as he put it down once again. Writing the sentences he had given so many times before again as he would put his hands together, seeing the stone already starting to melt as his body was heating up from being even close to this mountain, even when he could throw a stone towards it and still not reach it.
His outfit a white t-shirt and his shorts keeping himself light as he would mumble a soft repeated prayer, praying to the divine elements and the people who stayed in heaven in the hopes that he would be able to give them a moment of calm, a moment of rest and hopefully a chance at redemption. He couldn't help but find the entire existance of this pained land painfull, wanting to figure out the mythological reasoning behind the land, wanting to be capable to buy the tools that would be required to rebuild it, to have people live on it and maybe bring back the king who once ruled this land itself. Although we say a prayer to the king of our land, there is nothing that would prevent him from uniting his all.
Dark, solemn noises would channel through the valleys and crests of Fire Mountain, singing a soft, beautiful song. The voices and words were spoken indecipherable at first, only to then be heard within the ears of all as a small, nursery rhyme one would say softly to their child to get them to sleep, the tune on point and with every word came another brush of wind across the land, stoking the fires of the mountain, only to watch them rise and fall with the increase of flowing gusts.
"Mary, Mary, Quite Contrary, how does your garden grow?" The voices would speak to Silver, releasing a deep, almost miasmic fog of void-like smog about him, visages and figures in the fog appearing just in the corners of his eyes, only to disappear should he look towards them. Everything about this entire encounter supernatural to even the most blatant of dillards, and the specters neglected to show harm, merely speaking towards him. "With cockle-shells and silver bells, and pretty maids all in a row."
As this would happen, a small path in the fire would begin to open, the scorching heat still obviously dangerous, but the sixteen meter wide pathway rose up the side of the mountain, through thicket and burnt bushes, begging for Silver to follow it. As if to lead him, the fog began to follow itself up the mountainside, calling to him, the specters appearing as two women beckoning the wizard.
WC: 243 Power Level: [UNKNOWN] The pathway calls for Silver. Silver
Simple seeing two figures beckon him, Silver would lift up a small metal disc attached to ornate chains as he had a small stick of incense that lit the path for if he were to be shrouded in fog too much, the scent of lavender and lotus flowers starting to spread from his being as his tail trailed behind himself, a danger that he couldn't believe at points with how often it could be grabbed and take him out of a motion, out of an attack as he would take a deep breath, making sure to keep his movement going.
"Thank you for the passage." He would speak, bowing towards the people, the figures and the emptiness that he was granted passage as he would hear something in the back of his mind tell him to not trust this scenario. Something that he had always learned from his parents, yet his other teachers had always taught him that magic was found in the heart of a pure practice of magic. In the soul of a man who would bring every fiber of his being towards the future as he would then speak up towards the empty scenario with his face morphing a little, almost turning canine as fear was always a settling cover over a heart, almost shapeshifting as he kept his humanoid figure.
"What can i mean for you?" He would speak awkwardly, trying to figure out what was going on.
"The humble man's wife sleeps in her bed, boiled alive is what they said, his daughter, a child, killed by the fire, you're in their domain now, what do you desire?" The voices would return to Silver as he stood, the miasma stopping him in a clearing away from the fire, inside the entrance to a gigantic burned down mansion of a castle, with desolate imagery around. Silver would feel as the fire would not burn him inside of the grounds of the castle, being as cool as a summer night, with the fresh smell of ashing rising from the building inside. All fires ceased inside of the building, yet raged outside like a typhoon of scorched earth. "The humble man cries for those who he lost, the humble man killed, and paid the cost. The humble man sits on the porch to his garden, surrounded by bodies of those who he's hidden" They would continue, hinting towards the Earthling to walk around the house, where a lush, unburned garden would be hiding away from the house.
If Silver did decide to follow in the footsteps of the ghosts, the actual ghosts leaving footprints in the burnt grass, shaped like scarred feet, leaving tough imprints in the grass. A single, gigantic man of unwieldy size would be sitting alone, hunched on a bench inside of the garden, a small helmet on his head with two curled horns rising from the sides. His armor on his body looked like a martial art's Gi, with a burned away symbol looking oddly familiar to the symbol plastered on the side of the Orin Temple on the planet, whether Silver knows this symbol or not, it didn't matter. Around the man was multiple graves in the garden, dug freshly it seemed, yet with headstones graved hundreds of years prior. Each one detailing a death within the same three days. Should Silver count the graves, he would see twelve of them in the garden, overgrown and covered in vines. A wretched stench of death and decay would fill the air from the man the graves, as the unmoving body of the man would sit idly on his bench. The only movement being the trickle of a tear every few seconds, dropping onto the ground, watering a rose below his bent head.
"The humble man still lives, he does. Crying about the family lost. A martial artist master, he is. He has paid a hefty cost" The voices of the ghosts would state, loudly, yet somehow not attracting the attention of the Boar King on the bench, crying softly to himself, like he had been doing for the past hundred years. Cursed. Trapped. Unable to truely do what he wished with his life. If Silver were to scan his power level, it would be as if he weren't even alive, but merely a phantom in the distance, unable to move on from the past.
WC: 488 TWC: 731 Power Level: Zero The Boar King Sits Alone, Crying On His Porch. Silver
As silver walked around the house, spotting the lush and beautifull garden, he would hear the question about what he desired, he sensed the capability to bring forwards a chance in the world where everybody would one day become a brilliant star in the skies, he would learn the best magic, yet none of those wishes passed through his body as the little guy stood there, a few words from his master starting to cut into his little heart as his tail stopped moving, slowly dropping to the ground as his ears flattened out, slowly averting his gaze before taking a moment to take in the atmosphere.
The incense that he was holding in a small disc slowly burning out as he would feel his shoulders tremble, thinking to himself 'Come on! Father always said that a man shouldn't just cry!' as he would take a deep swallow before shouting forwards.
"Hey! You big loaf!" He would shout towards the figure, as silver knew that he wasn't perfect, he knew that there was a bunch that he didn't know, he knew that information that would have to be used to handle this scenario was way beyond his scope. But he didn't care, he had to attention of a child, he had the expierience of an inexpierienced midget and he was always angry about people making fun of his height! But did he ever go back on his own words, he wasn't going too today!
His mouth wanting to grow shut as his heart burned brighter than this entire mountain on this day as he would move his hands forwards to manifest a small ball of water, the magic failing for a solid three tries as his arm started to sting and bleed a little across the length before he manifested a single ball of water that he shot harmlessly towards the man that was sitting there.
"Who said you get to wallow in your own self doubt!" His eyes burning with the desire to help, his heart crying for the connotation that was being brought forwards here, he could call the scenario out completely wrong, but at the same time he felt like he was right in acting like this. Slowly bringing his entire being to step forwards before then saying "Please! Teach me how to defend myself, teach me how to carry my own arms into combat so i can protect and one day help you bring back. Please allow me to help you bring back those who you have lost and defend your honour... Please teach me and step over this blockade!" The small child trembling as he saw the droplets that came from his own eyes starting to hit the ground, the emotional weight of this entire scenario was too much for himself.
"Please... I am just a child that wants to help..." Sniffling softly to himself as he couldn't help but feel that the weight of the world was crushing him at this point, yet he kept his ground.
As the voice of Silver would enter the garden, the Boar King's head would rise slightly, the crimson red eyes glowing slightly as the light of the fires would illuminate his cold, husky body. The figure rising up, revealing the old, rustic armor donning his figure, a martial arts suit with light armoring here or there, clearly out of date, and his hands would go to remove the helmat atop his head, grabbing the two tusks and pulling the large device off of his skull, before tossing it aside into the ground, landing atop a grave. His long, beautiful golden hair would extend a few feet down his back, barely reaching his rear, before he would walk to the middle of his garden, closer to Silver, and sit down in a chair. Around him being a table with more chairs for others to sit in. "You... You would save me young man?" The Boar King would ask, depressed and clearly beyond his years. "You would save my people from this curse?" As he would speak, he would offer the boy to come closer, pouring a small pitcher of warm tea into two cups, before drinking a small bit of his glass and offering the other to Silver. "Come. Let me help you, as you have offering to help me young man." The Boar King would state, reaching into his pockets inside of his figure, and pulling out a small velvet bag. He would set this bag on the table, showing the size of the bag, whatever was inside was slightly larger than typical items and the bag had straps on it to wear like a backpack. "Let me tell you the tale of Fire Mountain." WC: 284 TWC: 1,015 Power Level: Zero The Boar King has offered Silver a spot at his table, right in front of the bag. Silver
As Silver looked at the velvet bag, he would have been tempted to open it at first before shaking his head, pulling back his hand as he whispered to himself quietly but still audible.
"No silver... Mommy told you to always listen before checking things out, you gotta be a good boy!" Before he would do a small fist pump, placing his hands on the tea before then taking a slight sip as he would feel his eyes water up slightly more before stopping as he smiled to himself. "This reminds me of dad..." as he stared at the cup before then shaking his head and looking up.
"Sorry... Sorry! Please do say the story, i am not able to do much unless i can get all the assistance in the world! So i need to do my best!" As he would listen carefully, sipping his tea every so often as he was surprisingly able to hold his heat. It probably had to do with the mixture of his zoan side unless he had practiced in the past with their vulpine cat tongues as he would pay close attention, his breathing slowly calming down as his emotions started to grow stable, his heart still hurting but he shouldn't show his emotions yet! He can't just go crying again! He has to honour this man and listen to his story before he can see the hidden thing, as much as his tail revealed that he had desires to view inside of it.
"Do not fret, child. Feel free to look inside. I will tell you the tale of what happened to this once beautiful mountain oh so long ago." The Boar King would say, prodding the ribbons around the seal of the bag, revealing inside a machine, one large and obtuse, dated and severely lacking in raw power. It was a Dragon Radar, an oversized one clearly made for the man and his large body. "In the days of old, many many years ago, my people were living peacefully on their vineyards surrounding this mountain. That was, until one of my civilians discovered a cave which looked as if someone had been living there." He would state, quickly describing what happened as to not take too much time. "This cave was owned by a witch, and upon figuring out her hiding place had been found by my men, she decided to double down and curse my people and my mountain. Every person that dies would become a never-ending fire, and after one year, every other person in my cities would die a horrible death. I tried to hide it, and I tried to find out how to fix it, but I only came to two conclusions." he would say, beginning to cry slightly once more, wiping it away. "I could go to the door to the underworld, where the goddess of life and death houses a fan that can put out eternal flames, and then wishing on the mystical dragon balls to reverse the curse and save my people. I was unsuccessful, and in a bid to get back at me, my people rebelled and walled my castle in corpses, burning with a heat unbearable, forcing us to hide in here. It did not take long before the year had passed, and suddenly the entire mountain engulfed in flames as it died too. Who knew that by everyone, the witch included grass, plants, animals, etc. Anyway, everything is on fire and my wife and daughter burned to death in their sleep, forcing me to bury them and burning myself on their bodies in the process. Even to this day, they burn underneath the soil below their graves over there, and I am still scarred with the burns from that night..." He would tearfully pull out, before forcing his attention back to the device. "That device allows you to track Dragon Balls, a set of orange balls that when gathered together, allows you to wish for anything you would ever want. You only get one wish, but it has almost no limits in reality, from what I hear." He would say, letting Silver look deeper into the bag, where a manual on the radar and on what dragon balls were. "If you truly are to save my mountain and my people, go to the gates of the underworld hidden away in the Northern Mountains, and get the fan, so that you may blow out the fire scorching my mountain, before wishing to reverse the curse and save my people. Maybe then, I will be reunited with my loved ones once more. If you can do that, I will promise you anything you would wish for, anything at all." The Boar King would say, ending his little speech, before judging the bag over to Silver, begging him to take it. WC: 556 TWC: 1,571 The Boar King is offering a Quest and an Item! Acquired: Temporary Earthling Dragon Radar Quest Accepted: The Man Over The Mountain Silver
As silver heard about the wish, he heard about the balls and the fact that there are people who eternally burn, he was both saddened and happy at the same time. He was excited about the fact that the magic existed, yet at the same time that such magic was used to curse somebody eternally, he would find his own body trembling with anger as he stood up, looking at the backpack radar before trying to lift it.
His body would barely budge as he would furrow his brow, knowing full well that he had to put in the strength as he soon put forwards enough to be able to carry it as he bowed before the king that had lost his kingdom. He bowed to the man who had so much more reason to be pushed into a world of wonder yet he was limited to this as he would speak with a smile.
"Thank you for putting your trust in me, i shall find this gate, i shall gather the balls and i will bring forwards the peace that you have wanted, because i too have a few simple dreams. To own a business to help people pay their things, to have a beautifull wife, all of these desires rummage into my little heart.
But for now, i must say, thank you for putting your trust in me." As he was hoping to have a way to leave as he couldn't waste any time at this point! He had to go and find the fan, he had to go find some balls, he had to show that he could do this...! His tail slowly picking up speed, this little feller was going to become a little helper to help this father become a father once more, his smile brightening almost instantly as he tried to waddle away.
